This user interface (UI) facilitates the use of the Exoplanet Open-Source Imaging Mission Simulator (EXOSIMS) software. EXOSIMS is a sophisticated python-based simulation software that provides planetary yield estimates for space-based coronagraphic missions. EXOSIMS incorporates Monte Carlo completeness modeling, simulates a planet-finding survey for a real or simulated target list along with other constraints, and optimizes the observing time during a given mission lifetime.
EXOSIMS is developed and maintained by Dmitry Savransky, Christian Delacroix, Daniel Garrett and others at
SIOS Lab,
at Cornell University, and has been unit tested by the EXOSIMS Users Group led by Rhonda Morgan at JPL.

DISCLAIMER: The results from EXOSIMS are fully realized after a statistical ensemble of simulations has been performed. A single run of this interface runs the simulation once, giving the user only ONE realization of all possible outcomes. The interface will be helpful for those who wish to perform a quick test of what their survey might look like. We will provide canned ensemble runs for the general cases soon.
